They are a pain to clean. Poop sticks inside all those little holes and you real have to scrub it sometimes. Crix are also able to chew through the mess, so you have to bowl feed. Otherwise they are great, especially for the airflow. We used to keep some of our cresties in them, but they became so we switched over to large Rubbermaid's with screened wooden frame lid. Much easier to clean =)
