Cresteds do love honey... but like mike said, it doesn't really add much nutritional value to food. It does provide a great energy source, but so does fruit baby food... Both of them provide little or no protein or fat for the geckos...
If you look at what a baby human eats, you must understand that first fruits are used only as a souce of energy.... 99% of the nutrition comes from the mothers milk ....lots of vitamins, minerals, amino acids (protein) and fat...In nature, the geckos get this from their animal/insect intake.... thats why it is important not to feed too much baby food.... and it is why I started working on the diet... because I wanted to take advantage of their sweet tooth to eliminate the need for insects by providing the things that were missing.
