:Hummingbird nectar is basically all sugar(glucose and fructose)not unlike honey. I have heard of adding honey to the baby food. The only purpose that i can see for that is to increase the simple carb. content and boost calories. Fruit baby food is essentially all fructose anyway. So, the only reason i can speculate for adding either honey or hummingbird nectar to your baby food is during beeding season to help in recovery from egg laying. Just a thought...
