Was doing great, very healthy. Fed him, then day after that, i found him regurging violently. 10 minutes later, dead. I was very upset and confused, so i know how you feel. :( it sucks. Never did find out what happened. My guess what that maybe he stayed on the cool side of the cage, and the temp dropped too low at night, so the rat rotted in his gut and it killed him.
:I just suffered a great loss, my favorite retic (my Sarawk retic) died today. She was 3 years old and ready to be bred. It was a mysterious death, she simply regurged the small rabbit that she had eaten and died. She will be sorely missed.
