i got mine in chinatown...but you can also order them off the internet by mail; if you are willing to risk the dangerous trip for the turt. i suggest wait til early summer and take a trip down to nyc chinatown. at least that way you are saving the turt from getting a bad home.

::Hi everyone. I am a relatively new slider owner and I got my turt from the pet store. I am guessing it is a he and that he is about 3 years old. In 6-12 months we are moving to a bigger house and I will be getting a bigger turt set up (right now I have a 40 gal breeder tank). At that time I would like to get a baby turt or two. Would my male tolerate the addition, do you think? Also, where on earth do you find baby RES'. The only pet store around here that carries turtles have HUGE ones - the smallest is about 4 inches. I want a baby. They are so cute! Any ideas? I live in Vermont..............
