How often do I feed?

Ohh. I hope I haven't caused him too much damage so far. Once every other day even for a hatchling that young? I've had him for about 6 months and he is 2 inches or less.
He seems to ignore veggies but I'll try some other kinds then.
Assuming once every two days, is about 10 pellets a day about right?
