In Reply to: Does Cork for Basking Rot? posted by Yertle on April 19, 2003 at 11:16:24:
I have been using cork as a basking site for almost a year and my turtles are healthy and active. I highly recommend cork being used as a basking site. Because it can be wedged between the glass panels you are allowing for the maximum amount of swimming space for your turtles and I have found that it is much easier for the turtles to leverage themselves up onto the cork. I like quamturle dry mine outside and their is no mold or rot.
