Okay you have the right idea. Turtles do need supplements but it is easy to overdose them if they are still babies.
My adult gets vitamins once a week only.
For babies I recommend vitamins from their food e.g. vegetables (babies will try boiled then convert them to fresh veggies) and proteins from Reptomin pellets occasional boiled chopped shrimp and chicken (all meats must be cooked) and hard boiled egg white and don't forget that your turtle can get calcium from cuttlefishbone just remove the clear jagged parts.
Remember to heat the water to 72-75 and provide an easy access basking spot. The key to a healthy growth rate is plenty of exercise (deep water) and warmth to encourage digestion.
Once your turtle gets bigger like around 3-4 inches then give it powdered supplements.
:I just got a 1" RES a few days ago. I have some Calcium and D3 supplements in a powder form. How do you feed this to the baby?
:Thanks,
:Mandy
