I had a turtle with a respiratory infection, and they can hardly dive in, they float lopsided and can't get themselves into the water, its not floating from the bottom to the top of the water like normal turtles do.

:in a response at the bottom of this forum titled trouble with baby res written by dsgnGrl, she writes that floating can be "signs of a respritory infection of a gastro-intestinal problem" but i have also been told that floating (while sleeping or not) is instinct because turtles in the wild do this to avoid predators, unless they are in a large group of a bunch of turts and are EXTRA cautious........ which one is true? the respritory infection theory, or just being cautious theory? thanks in advance, kevin
