If any of you remember, my mother's baby res was fighting to overcome avitaminosis A (the post is somewhere down yonder). I had taken him to the vet and he recieved a shot of vitamin A. The week after, he showed very little improvement, and I didn't believe that he was ging to make it. I set up another visit to the vet at the end of the week. The day of the appointment, I walked into my mother's room to find Dinky (the sick lil' slider) swimming aroung with his eyes wide open! I was shocked!
A couple of weeks have passed since my revelation. He has been feeding very well on a varied diet of mealworms, earthworms, anacharus, and snails, and has actually grown a bit.

Just thought I'd share this, and thanks to those who put in their advise.
