Rhabdophis are much much more dangerous, extremely severe bites having resulted from this genus. In contrast, B. dendrophila does not normally cause notable symptoms. Rhabdophis venom affects the blood (specifically it contains a powerful prothrombin activator) while Boiga venoms are neurotoxic.
