:Duvernoy's gland or saliva glande?

Almost certainly Duvernoy's gland. The "toxic saliva" idea that often goes round is almost certainly a myth, snakes produce their toxic secretions from Duvernoy's glands. The majority of colubrids have Duvernoy's gland, and those that don't have almost certainly lost them secondarily.

Cheers,

Wolfgang
