Interesting tid-bit on the UV light as the only change. I'm working with Leptophis ahaetulla currently as I have seen no known captive breedings of this snake. My male an female started off as 3.1 but on male died. The other didn't start eating for almost exactly one year. Both the male and female are eating anoles like crazy and the female has taken scented rat pups. I'm going to through some UV one them when I get a better set up for them and see if it seems to have any effect on them. I know these are completely different snakes, but have nearly the same lifestyle and diet. Thanks for the info good luck with the clutch, let us know how it comes out.
