I just got this guy today and so far he seems to being doing well. He is a wild caught animal that has only been in captivity for about 1 1/2 months and supposedly feeding on fuzzy mice (according to the retailer I got him from). I was hoping to breed him to my female but I don't know what sub-species my female is. This male is a Rufous Beaked Snake (Rhamphiophis oxyrhynchus rostratus). The male and the female look different in coloration. The male is more of an Olive color whereas the female is a rusty brown. The male also has the black markings on his face that the female doesn't. Also, the females eyes are big and black but the male has distinct pupils. But I counted the scales on their heads and they both have the same scale count so I don't know...

Any ideas??

And does anyone know anything about breeding them?

Thanks,
Celia
