Very interesting review. I've gotta get that article now. Seems like the elaphe are gonna be whittled down a bit. Between this study and the work being done on the New World Elaphe a much better understanding of elaphe evolution will exist. That will be interesting. By the way I also love your website. I especially drool over the photos of the conspicillata babies. Someday I'm going to try and get some of them. I agree with Rex's comment that the conspicillata seem similar to the mandarina, but I guess time will tell.
