Has anyone seen females that are striped or speckled? I was wondering if their might be a sexual dimorphism is Spilotes.
Second, do any of you have pics I can use for a spilotes web site I'm working on? Locality specific snakes would be great but other pics of the snakes, eggs, etc are all welcome.
I'm trying to gather any keeping, breeding, feeding info to produce a general resource. The first draft is at: http://www.herpnet.net/spilotes/
I've recently come to understand the importance of humidity in keeping these snakes. They don't seem to feed in less humid environments. I switched mine from a spacious, airy and very dry environment (the midwest in the winter) to a small humid enclosure, which finally prompted them to feed.
