The temps that I recommend are low 80's. I am going to run my next clutch at around 82, time will vary but at 81.5 it took 69 days. I heard that kinking could occur with the higher temps. My clutch came out fine last year. I never recorded any pre-lay shed last year but this year I am paying much closer attention and will work harder for the double clutch. My female did this last season but the second clutch was not fertile. I am going to feed her heavier after she lays and continue separating and reintroducing my pair. My babies are now just a tad over 3'. I anticipate them really taking off now and may be breedable by next season if I keep on a heavy feeding regimen. I will post again with pics when she drops. Good luck to both of you!
: I currently have a two year old cb male that I got about three months ago and I will be receiving a female tomorrow. My plans are to work with them and hopefully breed them and have the eggs hatch. Not much is documented on Spilotes and maybe I can e-mail you with some questions on your success. I'll keep my fingers crossed on those eggs. Good luck
