I am not an expert on this subject, nor am I very familiar with the snakes of Louisiana, so anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong here. "Kisatchie Corns" get their name from the national forest in Louisiana where they are found. They are much darker than a typical corn snake, and there is some controversy as to whether they are pure corn or a guttata x emoryi integrade. They are of interest because specimens from this locality look distinctly different, just as corns from Miami County or South Carolina look different, and there is a bit of mystery as to their origin.
Here is a pic of my female, at about 8 months of age. My male has a bit more rust color to his blotches.
