Snakes Everywhere

Well, I guess it's that time again.... We've seen a few snakes out the last few days, and we've heard of tons of snake sightings.

Because of all of the snake movement lately, we need to be careful on the roads so that we don't hit them crossing the streets and also be weary that a snake could be anywhere around so people don't get a surprise encounter!

I guess we'll be going to a lot of rescues this year.... All of the herp world should play a role in this efforts.

One of the things you may want to do is to educate your neighbors about snakes and the importance they play in our ecosystems.

If you can not convince them that snakes are here for the better, and they wanna kill them, try to convince them to call you if they spot any, and advise that person that you will catch/remove the snake.

There is some contraversy over whether re-locating the snake would be a problem. A good way to re-locate them is to release the snake in the same generalized area, maybe a couple blocks away from its original capture site, a place that is still familiar to that snake - so it may still thrive!
