In Reply to: Re: Cooling Taiwan Beauty Snakes- A question... posted by DAVE POWELL on November 24, 1999 at 23:20:16:
: : I am getting ready to cool my colubrids, but need some information concerning Taiwan Beauty Snakes. How long is it necessary to cool adult Tiawans, and at what temperature? Thanks!
When I breed my beauties, I just cool them during the winter months (actually I don't cool them, the room is naturaly cooler even with the heat running) and put them together when it starts to warm. My friend, on the other hand, hibernates his with the rest of his colubrids. So mine are cooled at 70-78 degrees and his are hibernated at 50-55 and we both have great success. I usually cool anything tropical and hibernate anything temperate.

I included my link if you want to check out pics of my snakes and snake set-ups.
