First, let me make a suggestion. Put them together now. They are big enough to breed already, and they copulate readily without any brumation.
It's normal for the blues and the taiwan beauties to reproduce at 18 months of age and 4-5 feet in length.
If for some reason you don't want to breed them this now, just feed them well this year and start introducing them in late January or so, they will do the rest. No real preparation other than ensuring good body weight is needed.
My blues and taiwans have been copulating for the last 2-3 weeks. These snakes are a perfect example of the saying, "you don't make them breed, you just let them breed".
