Maybe the first year that a pair mates, they are just getting used to each other and the situation, and the second year they are more comfortable accounting for the longer pairing. Who knows, but we learn in the long run. I think some of these species aren't too much different from handling corn snakes once you get used to them and they get used to captivity. I agree. I actually believe that most species are very simple and basic. I mean look at them, they have been around for eons and eons. I don't believe they would be around for that long having a complex way of life or breeding habits. I think that I have tried too hard and searched too deep to what I think is the perfect environment for them, only to have it backfire and have nothing happen, because I think it was too complicated or complex for the animals to absorb. I don't know!!! I am just running my thoughts off.
