I have read that if you "brain" the mouse before you offer it to the snake that it sometimes helps. Supposedly the smell of brains is irresistable to snakes and other carnivorous animals. To brain a frozen/thawed mouse, simply take a sharp object and cut a hole in the top of the mouses head exposing the brains. Sounds fun, I know.
