Hello again all, actually LauraO I believe their might be a little resemblence, however, E.t.Friesie is a much heavier snake, Gonyosoma, is extremely light weight, and thin, baby Gonyosoma are only on third as thick as a baby Friesie. It is also believed by many herpetologist that Gonyosoma is more closely related to "racers" and Natrix than to Elaphe. I really personally believe this "night" crawling is more "hunting" than any thing. My adults night hunt, as I think they are ALWAYS hungry, and I really do believe this may include some climbing if they thought food available in the "trees". However, they are not aboreal. Gonyosoma, live in trees, they sleep in trees, they hunt in trees. So even though there may be some faint similarities. These are very different animals.

Respectfully,
Jarrett

: : ..considering every one I've seen has a face shaped like G. oxcephalum. In some pics too, they almost seem like the same animal with different colors. Has anyone else ever noticed this? And have you ever at least seen yours do more climbing at night?
