: I noticed the same thing...my beauty snake babies love to climb. I keep all my hatchling/newborn snakes in a shoe box rack. A lot of the boxes have dowel dods in them for the tree boa babies. Well, a lot of times when I pull a box out the beauties will be perched on the dowel. I don't know if the adults would do the same (mine don't have any branches) but wouldn't that look awesome!

That is what I had pictured. Not that they are any less gorgeous an animal if they don't behave that way. Most snake babies - and lizard babies with any well-developed limbs - seem to climb more as babies. Trying to avoid predators I believe.
