From my experience, I have to agree with you. There are branches in the cages for my Taiwans, but they are never on them. It is possible that they may be partially aboreal as hatchlings, I can't say since I've not had any that young, mine were 9 months old when I got them. Hopefully I'll know the answer to that in the spring.
