although the Sterile container and angle of the shot makes him look smaller. Black rat snakes, being the longest or one of the longest North American rat snakes, generally stay thin until their growth rate slows down and then they build girth. Dwight does have black rat snakes that will be all black (if there is such a thing), but his breeders are from two locales. I wanted a pair of offspring from matched locales. I really love these.
