For starters, an average BCI female is around 6-7 feet. I have both boas and taiwan beauties and love them all. Personally, I prefer boas, but that's because I'm still not big into colubrids. For breeding, the taiwans would be better. Boas being born can be quite messy, and eggs from a ratsnake are relatively much easier. If your friend offered the boa for free, then by all means take it. Don't let a good opportunity pass you by.
