Yes, I plan to get him a Mrs. His bloodline is from Guyana. The one I had before was from Costa Rica/Trinidad area. Not much is known on Spilotes, but apparently each location is almost a different ssp. Dan and some others house theirs in the same cage. I hope to get a female and she will be placed in the same cage. Mark Lucas (an importer) has some from Nicaragua. He said they will breed with mine, but they are probably a different ssp. Apparently the ones that are primo are the ones that are almost all yellow and have black speckles and/or bands. The one I just got is black with yellow speckles and bands down most of his body until about half way. Then he's speckled a little further and turning all black about 2/3 down. I'm going to make sure he acclimates and feeds good before I pursue a female. I'll keep you guys posted.
