Hello Traci,
If you could post a pic I am pretty sure I or someone else on this forum could ID it for you. If she looks like that at 2 months I am guessing she is probably a yellow ratsnake. Any info you find on obsoleta ssp. (black rat, texas rat, yellow rat, gray rat, etc.) will be great. At two months she is probably somewhere around 14-18 inches. She should be fed a pinky once a week at two months. She will shed around 8 times a year, and will grow to around 5'.

Good luck with your new snake obsoletas are the best:) TravisG

: Travis>> I just picked up a "rat snake" and she (or he?) looks a lot like a picture (though I'm not sure about the grey face.. she's hiding right now).. The pet store couldn't give me a lot of info and I'm having a hard time finding info on the web without knowing the exact type.. any info you can provide me would be much appreciated!! ie. what and how often do they eat/shed? How big will she grow? etc. (she's about 2 months old right now..) Thanks!

: Amature Snake Lover,
: Traci
