Contrary to what some people still must think, most Asian ratsnakes are quite hardy. The northern Eurasian species are used to quite long, cold hibernations, they adapt well to captivity, and make great pets. The southern species, from taeniura and moellendorffi north, are also pretty hardy, and I brumate mine up to about four months. They are a little trickier to manage, some are nocturnal, or have a different feeding schedule, etc, but they do well under normal conditions, with basically simple accomodations.
