I'd certainly not be very eager to sell sub-adults that I'd invested two years care into, just before they attained breeding size. If I was to sell such, it would be at a considerably higher price than for hatchlings or yearlings. It sounds to me as though you're too impatient to get yourself set up with breeding pairs without first working on gaining experience in raising the babies. We'd all like to shortcut the process, but few of us can. My advice to you, is to do as others have done before you. Buy good quality babies from well-regarded breeders, and then put in your two or three years of waiting (and learning) time.
