baiscally, they say there mean nasty snakes, mine has never bit me, i even tryed to get it 2 bite me to see if it hurt, he just wont do it, but the care, id say as a baby, a 10 gallon tank, as an adult, a 20-30 long tank, 2 hide boxes, fresh water bowl big enuf to soak in, aspen shavings, and the heat is about the same as a milk snake or any other rat snake and i they say they reach 5-6 feet long, mines only 3 feet, but growly liek a weed..hope this helps
