Best substrate for Spilotes pallatus????

Hi Everyone;

Just got a pair of juvenille Tiger rats & was wondering what the best substrate is for these guys, have them on pine shaving right now, plan to put in a couple hide boxes, one full of moss, the other just an empty box for hanging out, will also put some tree branches in for them to climb.

Their incredibly passive & tolerant of being handled for something with such a bad reputation I surprized @ how easy they are to handle. Who knows once settled in they may turn into the snakes from hell.

Any other pointers would be greatly apprciated.
