Adult ratsnake bite - How bad can it get?

I have two juvenile ratsnakes (5 months to 8 months old) and enjoy freehandling them. Of course, they are rather nippy but due to their size, it's not a problem.

Question is, how bad would a ratsnake's bite be once it gets bigger and does it get any meaner? Thanks.
