Hi there;
The closest I've seen to what your looking for would be a Russian with no yellow bands. Very sharp looking snakes they still have some yellow around the facial scales but the body & underside are very black with a slight peppering of yellow scales which you have to get preeeeetttty close up to see. I can send you a pic of my friend's black male if you like. I don't KNOW of anybody trying to produce those but they do crop up in clutches from time to time.
It would be an interesting thing to pursue breeding wise that is. Especially if you have a thing for black snakes. My rec room's FULL of black serpents from the lowly black ratsnake upto the magniicant Eastern Indigo.
Let me know if you find any Russians that are 'intense black' Maybe I'll produce one this year, adults are burmating as we speak.
Tery Cox frequents this forum & works with Russians (that's where some of mine came from) he may have some info to share.
Good luck with your search!!
Cheers
Dean
