In Reply to: Is their any market for ratsnake hybrids? posted by Jessica Curtis on January 05, 2002 at 16:15:16:
Well, as you probably already know, a lot of the corn snakes out today are hybrids to various other rat snakes, as well as king snakes and milk snakes, and other colubrids. Some are going for high prices, some not so high..
I believe that if one could produce a hybrid with great colors or pattern, different than anything already available, it would make lots of money. This isn't the case most of the time, as a lot of the hybrids aren't very attractive.
: I know some people have a feverish dislike towards hybrids but I have what was once known as a Derketts rat and it being a hybrid and really awesome looking I was wondering if it had in potential...
: Any reply appreciated.
