Hey Todd, what kind of snake is it and what size? IMHO the best thing to do is to let him bite you a couple times. This is two fold, first YOU will realize that it doesnt hurt, second HE will realize that it doesnt keep you away. Most snakes are more likely to bite when they are in their cage poised ready for you. If you reach in steady without hesitation (with your hand flat) and just pick him up you are less likely to get tagged.
Good luck, TravisG
: I need handling help. When i first bought this snake i handled him fine. now if i try to pick himup he snaps and trys to bite me . i bought what I was told what he needed . i got a tank. it is 30" long and 13" wide . it has a wood chip bedding. he has a water bowl big enough that he can go into to cool off. i bought a heat lamp. the only diference in his hbitat ow is that the bedding he was in before i got him was a softer grey material . so can someone please help me and tell me what i am doing wrong or why maybe he won't let me handle him and how I will be able to handle him again. Thanks Todd in NY
