Hi Mack,
I have a pair of ridleyi that are about 6 to 6.5 feet long. They eat small to medium sized rats. I have a second female that is only 5 feet or so, and she eats two mice or a couple rat pups. Mine have never been picky eaters. As a matter of fact, you better have a glove on if you move your hand in front of their hide box! They strike first and decide whether or not you're edible later. There is a wide range of temperaments in these snakes. Some say theirs are docile, others evil... mine are handleable once you get them out of their enclosure, but still not 100% trustworthy like a corn snake. Very beautiful snakes though.
Take care,
Ronda
: I am interested in cave ratsnakes, and was wondering what the adults can be fed on. Thank you for our help.
