: Happy New Year everyone. I read the debate below on the longest ratsnake. What I want to ask each one of you to share with the forum is large specimens of ratsnakes you have seen yourselves or had in your collections, for instance specimens larger than published field guide records. I myself saw a yellow ratsnake at a zoo that looked to be about 7.5 feet long. He didn't look much smaller than an 8 foot retic I had close to the same time. A friend caught a great plains rat over 5.5 feet about 12 years ago. I look forward to your responses.
