Has anybody heard of this?? (Bairdi weirdness)

Hi all,

Ok, so my Bairdi's colors start dulling, signifying he is going into shed, as usual, however before he goes "blue" he'll usually eat. This time he refuses a meal, he bites and releases. At the same time he starts to exhibit symptoms; clicking, popping noises,opening his mouth (briefly, not gaping) and adjusting his jaw every now and again, sneezing, and generally weird behavior like cruising while fully blue. So, I get worried, I raise the temps, schedule a vet appointment (Jan 2nd was the earliest I could get) and today.....he sheds and he seems perfectly fine!
I just fed him, he ate, however I heard a few little clicking noises as he was swallowing. Anybody have and experience with something like this??? Thanks in advance for your help!
