Here is a pic of a baby produced from WC "everglades" rat parents from Glades County. The parents appear to be intergrades of yellow X glades based on looks. The babies produced by them appear to be more "everglades" looking than yellow. All 8 babies I hatched are similar to the one in the pic below. They are orangeish with red/black tongues.

For comparison, here are two baby yellow rat snakes from south Florida, both snakes are from the same clutch....


Finally, here is a pic of a baby "captive strain" everglades rat.
