You have some great looking snakes. Sorry to hear that your snake is starving, have you tried flagyl. I have had many imports that were refusing to eat that turned right around once they were wormed.
Here are the patterns of spilotes I have. I ask anyone with more information and/or pictures to help me document the many phases of these excellent snakes. Check out the web site and tell me what you think.

: I think the pics of S.p.mexicanus show it to be really the prettiest of the subspecies. I have some pics of my (currently starving to death) spilotes that are also red/orange:

: : This is a picture of a baby that I got from the author of the Reptiles magazine article. Unlike the usual spiloties that are black and yellow this one has additional orange bands. This picture is two years old. The pair I have will hopefully breed this year. I will be posting my new web page with current pictures in the next few days.

: : : Well, I had a tip...but I still can't locate this species. If anyone could "please" give me a tip on where I could locate this subspecies, I would greatly appreciate it. Someone point me the way....Thanks
