Several of the Asian Rats have a reputation of biting but, like most snakes this is more down to personality - my male Taiwan is pretty fiesty and will strike often whereas as my female never does. Sames goes with my Manadarins - the male often has a go & the female doesn't.

The one with the worst reputation seems to be the Radiated Rat Snake but as I don't keep them I can't confirm or deny this.

The Red Tailed Rat Snake has a reputation for meaness but I know of some people who keep them & have no problem with them.
