I've owned hundreds of snakes but I think these are the best pet snakes I've ever had. They are not only calm but curiously curious! I love the way they carefully explore any new addition to their enclosure. Toss a nice pine branch trimmed from the christams tree into their cage and they'll spend hours carefully exploring every inch of it. Mine used to crawl out of their cage and into my arms where I would feed them, but lately they have gotten a little too agressive for that. I toss a rat pup into their cage and they generally grab it as it hits the ground. The other great thing about schrencki is that they don't want or need high temps, they refer what we humanoids consider "room temperature". I have one that is turning nearly black and one that seems to be keeping its pattern as yours have.
