: I have a couple of reasonably acclimated Vaillanti/Nigrofasciatus and am wondering what is the general consensus on brumation.
: A full 2 months at 60-65?
: Skip brumation entirely this winter and focus on fattening them up? Snakes left Hong Kong in August, are not fat.
: At 24-30 inches, how old (approximately) are these snakes?
: Do they ever actually fatten up?..these guys are fast and nervous. Thanx, Jeff
Jeff, don't keep porpys, but could give advice based on other experience. Need some info though. If they are wild caught, I would brumate. If they are still eating, I'd keep on feeding them, for now anyway. Luck. TMC.
