Mmmm... I'd say it would be a TX rat, but my dad caught one like that here in Maryland. I realize that this one that I have is an exceptionally red patterned one, but still.... just showing you there's a lot of variability and similarity between the subspecies and in the subspecies. Anyways, I'll leave the link so you can check her out by yourself. BTW, I realize the possibility that she was an escaped pet TX, but I doubt it.
