Hi Chris - Great point on the Deckerts Rat Snake. I currently have a trio and its much easier and more accepted by the pet community to refer to it as Deckerts sub species. I think the evol. biologists still recognize it as an E. obsoleta integrade. Another point would be the question of "test of time". The Dr. Vaughan, Dixon and Thomas work referred to recently was published Aug., 1996. There still seem to those who hold on to the E. emoryi emoryi taxonomy instead of the E. guttata emoryi as identified in the Dr. Vaughan work. Thanks for taking the time to address my post and contributing such excellent points. Also, thanks for not attacking my obvious primitive knowledge of terminology. Good luck.
