Most of those sold in petshops are E.rufodorsata, and yes there is some debate regarding their true taxonomic place.
It also could be E.bimaculata or dione, but if it were very cheap, its most likely a rufodorsata.
They can eat rodents but do better on frogs and fish. They also prefer cooler temps and high humidity.
