beauties are really awesome.. i've been wanting some for quite a while, and was esctatic to see them at that show... i got them 190 for the trio.. i think they were being sold for 70 a peice.. i think these guys weren't fed often enough with the breeders that had them.. i was expecting them to be much bigger at 5 months old, considering they can hit 6ft in their first year.. i've only had them for a couple weeks, but they've been getting one medium adult mouse a week, which is a pretty good sized meal for them at this size... i don't have former experiance with beauties or ratsnakes(with the exception of corns), and have found out that they really DO have fast as hell motabolisms.. i was thinking of switching the meals to every 5 or 6 days to catch up on their growth... and they are DEFINATLY agressive feeders.. the first week i had them, i fed off the last of my live mice to them, and they struck as soon as they saw the mouse, then wrapped their entire bodies around their mouse, tumbling over and over for about 5 seconds.. was pretty impressive... MUCH more aggressive then my corns... these guys are awesome.. hehe
: I am very tnterested purchasing one or several taiwan beautys, and have checked out websites, and they average 60-100 per, with another 20 for shipping, and generally seem to look nice and healthy, though the pics have them often bunched up. I wondered what the going price for them are at the expo you went to was, as I am going to the Colombus expo the 24th or Nov., and would like some info. on what to expect
: Also, at that age and size, how often do you feed them? I have read things like "bottomless pit" and "garbage disposals" about these snakes, and that you can feed them each day if you want to, because of their high growth rate. What to you find to be adaquate?
: Are they aggressive feeders? I enjoy to watch my cornsnake constrict at the moment of establishment, but my Texas Rat is a wimp compared to the corn.
